EthioDen ICT Consultancy PLC was founded in 2021 as a joint venture between an Icelandic investor and a group of Ethiopian ICT specialists. An earlier company, ABHA Software Development PLC, which was set up by the same individuals in 2020 is also a major shareholder.
In 2021 the main area of work was with two Danish companies, hence the name linking Ethiopia and Denmark. However, since January 2022 most of our work has been on behalf of Icelandic and Ethiopian clients. Software development and consultancy services at EthioDen ICT Consultancy PLC are supervised and led by Mr. Thorvardsson from Iceland. Mr. Thorvardsson is an experienced software developer, business entrepreneur, consultant, researcher and trainer in software development and technology adaptation.
Dr Amare Kassaw and Mr. Andargechew Gobena both have extensive software development and design experience within Ethiopia as well as close links with the local community, the University and the local government on state and city level. Mr. Girma Hunie and ABHA provide managerial skills and support, as well as software design and consultation. Mr. Girma has excellent contacts within various industries as do the owners of ABHA.
